Hy-Vee | One Step
As the lead designer for Hy-Vee’s One Step product line, I developed a cohesive packaging system that combined innovative design with a commitment to social responsibility. Each product, from russet potatoes to paper towels to bottled water and cereal, featured a unifying logo system where the "One Step" logotype remained consistent, but the color and icon inside the ‘O’ were customized to reflect the unique product inside. This design approach not only created visual unity across the line but also highlighted the brand's mission to give back with every purchase.
-
One Step Russet Potatoes
A portion of proceeds goes to supporting Hy-Vee's global efforts to combat food insecurity.
-
One Step Paper Products
Made from recycled materials, these products contribute to environmental sustainability, including the planting of over 520,000 trees across Hy-Vee’s service area.
-
One Step Bottled Water
The proceeds from each bottle help fund nearly 100 clean water projects worldwide.
-
One Step Cereal
Packaged in 100% recycled cardboard, sales of this cereal help provide meals for those facing food insecurity, with more than 36 million meals donated to nonprofit organizations across the Midwest and globally.
This project was a rewarding opportunity to create meaningful, cause-driven designs that not only appealed to consumers visually but also made a tangible impact on communities. Working on the One Step line allowed me to combine creativity with purpose, aligning with my passion for design that contributes to positive change.
